Wow! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the beach is actually looking rather inviting - they say its winter...
It was yesterday - but today Cape Town is as summery as can be :-)
We just returned from our Educational Sabi Sands Trip and again = Wow! We are sending our formal feedback to the different properties, and will be uploading the full report on our website - please check it out next week - I'm sure everyone will find some info worth reading there.

We will be doing another Educational Trip shortly - this time up the West Coast, visiting places like the Klein Karoo, Cedarberg, Kamieskroon, Springbok & Naries.
Road Travel will be offering a spectacular Namaqualand flower tour this August / September, as well as a Flowers & Stars Tour - this will also be available on our website shortly.
Alternatively just send us an email to find out more.

As most of you are probably aware, during winter South African properties come up with some lovely specials to tantalize the potential visitor. One special we can highly recommend is the Mantis Madness, where clients staying two nights at Shamwari, Jock Safari Lodge or Sanbona Game Reserve will get three nights at The Long Beach, The Constantia, The Franschhoek, The Bischops Court, The St James, Lake Pleasant Living or Bushman Sands Hotel. Now that's what I call special indeed!

Onto something completely different: the migration is currently in the central Serengeti area, and the game is fairly spread out. No doubt some of the early herds will start to gather and commence moving in a more westerly direction in the next few weeks. We are "in the know", so contact us for availability and travel packages to the region.

And then we jump to the Gem of South Africa - the famed Garden Route for more fabulous information...
Oysters have been the favorite of gourmets and romantics for many thousands of years. The ancient Chinese are believed to be the first to cultivate them, the Greeks were doing it more than 6 000 years ago and the North American Red Indians apparently invented the Oyster Stew. Casanova, probably one of history's greatest lovers, owed to them his powers in the bedroom... No surprise then that they are still as popular as ever ;-D
The Oyster is Knysna's favorite delicacy and probably its best-known export. The Knysna Oyster Festival is on from the 6th till the 15th of July and promises to be another unforgettable event. We still have a few rooms available, so contact us to get your booking in place.
